OhioMATYC Scholarships
OhioMATYC awards 4 OhioMATYC Student Scholarships each year (subject to availability of funds). Each scholarship is worth $300. Each qualifying institution (institutions that employ at least one active member of OhioMATYC) may nominate one student. The 4 winners are chosen by random draw at the executive meeting in the Fall. If there are less than 4 qualified candidates, OhioMATYC will increase the award to $400 for the winner(s).
A process for naming memorial scholarships has been established. The individual being honored must be or have been an OhioMATYC member. Any funds donated in someone’s name will be added to one of the aforementioned OhioMATYC scholarships at the rate of $100/year (for a total scholarship of $400) until the funds run out.
Rudy Sattler Memorial Scholarships (new in 2010)
OhioMATYC awards 2 Rudy Sattler Memorial Scholarships each year (subject to availability of funds) to outstanding developmental mathematics students. Each scholarship is worth $100. Each qualifying institution (institutions that employ at least one active member of OhioMATYC) may nominate one student. The 2 winners are chosen by random draw at the executive meeting in the Fall.
